Climate Change
As a Thurston Climate Mitigation Collaborative member, I've worked to move Lacey forward in addressing climate change. We know that buildings are our most significant source of carbon emissions, closely followed by vehicle exhaust.
So, we have created a matching rebate program to help Lacey residents make their homes more efficient. While funds last in this popular program, Lacey will match Puget Sound Energy rebates for residents who weatherize their homes or purchase energy-efficient appliances. We're also installing more charging stations for electric vehicles. This is an excellent example of the collaboration I have worked to achieve among local governments.
